Farnborough International Airshow UK, July 19th, 2008
My first visit to this famous airshow, although rather disappointing (not because of the participants, more of the performance in the air and expensive entry ticket for £28).
Absolutely fantastic was the first flight of the restored Avro Vulcan B-2 XH558 and the new Airbus A380. The Vickers Vimy from the 1910s nearly crashed in the strong sidewinds. Other airshow participants included: Red Arrows, Eurofighter Typhoon, Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon, Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, Bell/Agusta BA-609 Tilt Rotor, USAF B-1B and Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. |

Nale Waffenplatz Bure CH, 6. - 7.09.2008
After the successful first event in 2005, the organisation group decided to have another meeting. These pictures were taken by my friend Kurt Wyss. Highlights were a Sherman M4 tank, Leopard 2 and Schützenpanzer 2000 (CV9030) from the Swiss Army, a T34 tank, a GMC with wood loading trailer and a GMC DUKW as well as a Scout Car M3.
