The Swiss Army and Airforce held a public open day at October 27th and 28, 2006. Over these 2 days, some 110'000 visitors attracted the different shows: airdisplay of the Patrouille Swiss in their Tiger F-5 fighters, a 50 min tank parade with old tanks and current vehicles, different static displays (e.g. the new recovery tank Büffel, based on a Leopard 2).

War & Peace Show 2006 in Beltring, UK

The biggest show on Earth. Having visited this worlds biggest military show several times, this was after 2004 another attempt. The highlight of the 2006 show was the appearing of the beautiful restored German WW2 Jagdpanther, the unique Horch Feldmarschall Cabriolet (Kfz 21), Rommels staff car in Africa, and the fantastic restored German WW2 vehicles of the SDKFZ Foundation

 Klausenrennen 06
4th International Klausenrennen Memorial

On the weekend of September 23 and 24, the myth was reanimated: The Klausenrennen.

Over 300 racing cars and motorbikes created a goose bumps athmosphere like back in the 20ies or 30ies. The 21,5 km long racing track was quite exhausting for these old treasures. Nevertheless they performed fantastic. You can't imagine the sound, the smell and the sight.
